Information Compliance Officer

up to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience

35 hours per week

At Blind Veterans UK we aim to ensure our members have access to the finest quality of service to help them discover life beyond sight loss. The successful candidate will play an important role in managing and assuring our compliance with data protection and other related information management obligations by providing advice and guidance on these matters across all levels of the Charity. You will also lead the charity’s implementation of the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and UK data protection law.

As the Information Compliance Officer, you will have a grounding and ideally a recognised qualification in information governance and data protection and experience of information and records management. 

You’ll also need to be a confident communicator with the ability to use your knowledge and understanding of data protection and record management to provide clear, accurate and influential advice and support to all internal and external stakeholders.
