Senior Manager Community & Event Fundraising

Blind Veterans UK is the national charity helping visually impaired ex-Service men and women lead independent and fulfilling lives.  We offer blind veterans access to the highest quality of services to help them discover and enjoy life beyond sight loss.

We have an excellent and unique opportunity for a driven and enthusiastic individual to join a dynamic team working to achieve fundraising targets.

Working as a key member of the Engagement Department, the role will require you to:

  • Recruit, develop and manage a highly effective team to achieve stretch goals, managing team performance on an ongoing basis, rewarding success and acting on under performance.

  • With the Head of Community Engagement, work to deliver the community engagement aspect of the engagement strategy with accountability for operationalizing the community and event fundraising strands.

  • Implement and further develop the 5 -year plan to grow income from both community fundraising and event fundraising and to achieve acquisition and journey targets.

  • With the Community and Event fundraising teams, develop and implement the processes necessary to successful fundraising including identification of audience, development of propositions/activities, marketing of propositions, stewardship).

    The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable track record of leading and managing teams, be a problem solver and will have experience of building effective relationships internally and externally.
