We are currently looking for someone to lead and manage a team of full-time regional Community Fundraising Managers from Central England southwards.

Brain Tumour Research is one of the fastest growing national charities in the UK. We are passionate about finding a cure for brain tumours through the establishment of dedicated Brain Tumour Research Centres of Excellence around the UK.

Our vision is to find a cure for brain tumours. Our mission is to build a network of experts in sustainable brain tumour research.

Head of Community Fundraising (South)
Reports to: Director of Fundraising
Location: Office-based form our Head Quarters in Milton Keynes (30 minutes by train from London Euston) with occasional UK travel
Salary: c. £40,000, dependent on experience
Hours of work: Full time, 9 am– 5pm, plus reasonable additional hours necessary to perform duties

You will deliver the Brain Tumour Research fundraising strategy across all community fundraising income streams including: challenges, events, campaigns, Charity of the Year partnerships and collections.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Demonstrable professional experience of community fundraising.
  • Demonstrable professional experience at delivering against income targets.
  • Flexibility in their approach to work, embracing change and development and able to work evenings and weekends when necessary.
  • Outstanding communication skills, including an excellent standard of written English.
  • Experience in managing and motivating staff and/or volunteers.

Main duties:

  • Managing the team, setting team objectives and ensuring income targets are achieved
  • Growing our supporter base while ensuring an exceptional supporter journey for all community fundraisers
  • Developing relationships and partnerships, across the regions, with local businesses and relevant medical institutions
  • Recruiting, developing and managing volunteers
