This is an exciting opportunity for a Regional Community Fundraising Manager to recruit, develop and manage a network of supporters who fundraise on behalf of Brain Tumour Research to deliver agreed overall income and other targets for Brain Tumour Research.

Regional Community Fundraising Manager (South West)
Reports to: Head of Community Fundraising (South)
Location: Home based, ideally in Bristol, Plymouth or somewhere in between, with occasional duties to be undertaken at Brain Tumour Research Head Office in Milton Keynes.
Salary: c. £27,500 dependent on experience
Hours of work: Full time, 9am - 5pm, plus reasonable additional hours in evenings and over weekends necessary to perform duties

We are the only national charity in the UK dedicated to funding continuous and sustainable scientific research into brain tumours. We are a leading voice in this country calling for greater support and action for research into brain tumours.

Main duties:

  • Recruit, manage and develop fundraising volunteers and provide appropriate support to their fundraising activities.
  • Work with the PR team to ensure appropriate media coverage for fundraising activities being undertaken by volunteer network.
  • Manage existing relationships with local corporate organisations and supporters who engage with Brain Tumour Research’s Centre of Research Excellence at Plymouth University.
  • Be responsible for delivering income and expenditure targets and reporting monthly on progress, this to include devising contingency plans should income fall behind target.
  • Proactively identify and create opportunities for the wider Fundraising Team through Networking Events

The type of person we are looking for:

  • You will be a confident self-starter with experience in fundraising, managing fundraising events and connecting with people;
  • You will have experience of networking, building relationships and spotting opportunities for partnerships, including local corporate partnerships;
  • You will have direct experience of raising funds and meeting financial targets;
