Deputy Head of Fundraising

You will join us as a Deputy Head of Fundraising responsible for developing and managing the fundraising strategy and generating income against set targets to meet with needs of Brendoncare.

Deputy Head of Fundraising Responsibilities:

- Works collaboratively with the strategic leadership team, fundraising and communications team, trustees, care homes and clubs staff and volunteers and the central office team.
- Creates and maintains effective relationships with current and prospective donors.
- Provides performance targets and effective line management for direct reports and deputises in the absence of the Head of Fundraising & Communications.
- Works with the Head of Fundraising & Communications to develop a fundraising strategy and annual fundraising business plan.
- Manage the fundraising team to deliver a strategic programme of fundraising activities in support of Brendoncare’s plans to achieve agreed income targets.

Deputy Head of Fundraising Requirements:

- Demonstrable experience of achieving income targets.
- Leadership and management experience within a fundraising team or similar environment.
- Commitment to the voluntary sector, Brendoncare and the needs of older people.
- Experience of using IT software including Microsoft Office and fundraising databases
- Knowledge of fundraising best practice and charity law.
- Experience of fundraising strategy development & implementation.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and to travel to Brendoncare’s sites and supporters as required.

Desirable:

- Educated to degree level or equivalent in experience.
- Fundraising qualification.
- Experience of developing and managing budgets.

Job type: Full Time, Permanent; 35 hours per week

Salary: up to £36,000 (depending on experience)

Benefits: 25 days holiday per annum (plus bank holidays), increasing to 27 days after five years’ service. In addition we provide training and continuing personal development and a free DBS check.
