Fundraising Officer

We are looking for a dynamic fundraiser to join our experienced and dedicated team at Bristol After Stroke.   Established 36 years ago, Bristol After Stroke is an independent local charity helping people rebuild their lives after stroke. Our services offer a unique combination of practical, social, emotional and psychological support to stroke affected people and their carers and loved ones.

This role aims to support Bristol After Stroke raise funding to support our services and ambition.

Main duties include:

•Work to generate unrestricted and restricted funds from the local community, local businesses, trusts, foundations and grant making bodies.

•Identify groups, committees, individuals, and organisations in the area to develop and support fundraising efforts.

•Be proactive in fundraising networking, keeping abreast of changes and new developments within the fundraising environment.

•Manage relationships with existing and new funders.

•Submit targeted proposals to donors that meet funding priorities.

•Research into potential funding bodies that would fund Bristol After Stroke’s work

•Develop and support a fundraising committee
