The Role

This is a superb opportunity for an experienced community/ regional fundraiser to join our dynamic team for 12 months. We are looking for a proactive candidate with experience of working with individuals, volunteer fundraising groups, organisations and regional or local businesses to achieve great results. In addition the role will be responsible for organising fundraising events, marketing campaigns and securing legacy enquiries and pledges, with the primary function of driving the greatest net income for Brooke.

We are looking for someone who will be comfortable working independently, with minimal supervision but part of a wider team to achieve the optimum outcome for Brooke -someone with a can-do attitude and a solution focussed approach in tackling challenges.

Criteria

Working from home, with support from Head Office in London, this role will be responsible for managing 10 volunteer regional fundraising groups in the South West of England and Wales, recruiting new volunteer fundraisers and groups in the region (especially Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Dorset), as well as spotting new opportunities for growth and maximising income. You will be working closely with the newly formed volunteer events committee to deliver the Spring Soiree, a Special Event in Exeter in March 2020. You will be well supported to achieve agreed annual income targets by organising and co-ordinating regular local campaigns and fundraising activities and events, proactively seeking new supporters, creating opportunities for current supporters and establishing and maintaining relationships with key contacts – including volunteers, speakers, schools, businesses and fundraising group leaders.

You will need to live in the South West of England, be able to work from home, travel to Head office in London when required and be flexible to work outside conventional office hours including weekends. The ability to travel within the region is essential along with good access to the internet.
