About the role of Legacy and In-Memory Fundraiser

The role of Legacy and In-Memory Fundraiser requires a confident and resilient candidate with long-term strategic vision. This is a new role for Claire House, so offers a blank canvas and the autonomy for the successful candidate to create a new legacy and in-memory programme.

The role will require best possible internal relationships with colleagues, volunteers and service users to ensure cross-referrals and a successful conversion rate.

Previous professional charity fundraising experience is essential, and those with experience of legacy and in-memory fundraising are of most interest to the charity for this brand-new addition to the team.

Claire House Children’s Hospice provide specialist nursing care and emotional support to help families smile again when life couldn’t get any tougher. Their aim is to one day reach every single child that needs them. To achieve this ambitious target, they have already laid the foundations of a major appeal to fund the significant increase and sustainable development of their core services. When the Hospice first opened in 1998, they supported 10 families. 20 years’ on, they support over 300. In just the past 6 years, they have seen an 84% increase in the number of children they support. Legacy and In-Memory donations can massively help the Fundraising Team support the continued and added services of the Hospice. This is an exciting time to be joining one of the most supportive and fastest growing charities in Merseyside.
