Remap is a national charity with a network of volunteers who love making things for disabled people. We design and custom-make equipment and everything is provided free of charge! We help people achieve independence and a better quality of life by filling the gap where no suitable equipment is available commercially. The charity was founded over 50 years ago and now covers the whole of the UK with over 950 volunteers organised in 72 local groups, which help over 3,600 people every year. 

This post is initially for 12 months, with the intention that it becomes a permanent position.

We are flexible as to where the post holder lives, but you must have ready access to our office in Sevenoaks and be ready to travel elsewhere as required.

Specific responsibilities: 

• Work with the Chief Executive and fundraiser to plan and implement a development programme focussed on raising funds and profile at the local and regional level

• Raise agreed sums by focusing on local and regional authorities, trusts and foundations, individual and community giving. 

• Develop guidance for local groups including template materials • Identify best practice and promote this across the network

• Assess and evaluate the strength of the network and individual groups

• Provide assistance to groups including through visits and telephone/email consultancy

• Support the promotion of Remap at conferences and events 

• Speak on behalf of Remap at events and meetings

• Support the development of marketing materials for Remap centrally and locally
