Are you ready to take a lead income-generation role?

Cambridge University Students' Union (CUSU) is a registered charity where students bring about change in the Cambridge educational experience and work to level the opportunities to all wanting to study there. We want to hear from you if you're a people-person, opportunity-orientated and motivated by contributing to collective achievements.

CUSU is constantly changing and developing as an organisation, and instrumental to our progress will be our ability to connect with our membership, demonstrate real impact from the work we do for students, and increase our exposure across the University community.

Critical to CUSU’s mission is its ability to fundraise via relationship-building and by communicating the value of the Union’s work and networks.

This crucial, management role is responsible for generating and sustaining income at the students' union so it can be reinvested into the union’s representative and charitable work. Managing a small, dedicated team the successful candidate will bring fresh perspectives to how the Union attracts funds for its valuable work; will maximize the potential of our new Union offices; and will position the Union as the only credible gateway to our membership.

The successful candidate will be able to balance needs of the business and our membership, always abiding by the union's student-led culture and ethos. You will advance a positive culture for our fundraising work, one prided on strong stakeholder engagement that finds a win-win between income generation and stakeholder satisfaction. We will be keen to attract a candidate with a confident understanding of digital communities and fundraising potential via digital platforms, both in the delivery of services and otherwise – i.e. in turning relationships into revenue that can be reinvested into the community.

Apply via our website.

We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds. We particularly welcome applications from those from Black, Asian and an ethnic minority backgrounds, as they are under-represented within Cambridge University Students' Union in some areas. We are happy to discuss any reasonable adjustments individuals may require in the recruitment process, on commencement, or once in post.
