Fundraising Officer – Acquisition
Part time – 21 hours
Circa £33,000 pro rata per annum
Permanent

Unicef ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. We have done more to influence laws and policies to help protect children than anyone else. We get things done. And we’re not going to stop until the world is a safe place for all our children.

The Direct Marketing team is responsible for recruiting and developing support for Unicef’s work from individual members of the public. We work across a range of channels to recruit and engage fundraisers so that we can increase our income from these supporters. We’re a
high-performing, friendly and supportive team, where attention to detail and teamwork deliver award winning results.

We are seeking two enthusiastic and self-motivated Fundraising Officers to join our team – one sitting within Acquisition, and one in Retention. Within Acquisition, you will manage a number of fundraising products and audiences, such as challenge events and community groups, with particular responsibility for all stages of marketing campaigns, including pre-campaign planning and test development, scheduling, data selections, liaising with agencies and internal stakeholders, financial management, results monitoring and end of campaign analysis. In Retention, you’ll be responsible for providing excellent stewardship and supporter communications to fundraisers, such as through challenge events, DIY events and community groups, as well as supporting our high value supporters such as schools and faith groups.

If you already have a track record in Public Fundraising across a range of media channels and enjoy working in a busy office environment, this role will offer you a great opportunity to grow your existing skills. To succeed, you should excel at managing multiple projects at the same time, be confident managing income and expenditure budgets, and be able to build effective relationships to ultimately implement campaigns that deliver the best results for children.

Act now and apply online. Please state clearly in your application, which role you are interested in.

Closing date:  5pm, Wednesday 24 April 2019.
Interview date: Friday, 3 May 2019.

We particularly welcome applications from black, Asian and minority ethnic candidates, and candidates with disabilities, because we would like to increase the representation of these groups at this level at Unicef UK. We want to do this because we know greater diversity will lead to even greater results for children.

Unicef UK promotes equality, diversity and inclusion in our workplace. We make employment decisions by matching business needs with skills and experience of candidates, irrespective of age, disability (including hidden disabilities), gender, gender identity or gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation.

The successful candidate will be required to apply for a Basic Disclosure from Disclosure Scotland. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us. This will depend on the nature of the role and the circumstances of your offences.

We only accept online applications as this saves us money, making more funds available for us to help ensure children’s rights. CVs will not be accepted.

If you require support in completing the online form or an application form in an alternative format, please contact Supporter Care.

If you do not hear from us within 14 days of the closing date, please assume your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion. Please note that we only provide feedback to shortlisted candidates.
