Regional Fundraising Manager (Adoption Centres) - West England, Wales & Northern Ireland - Fixed Term Contract for 1 year
£ 30,954.96 per annum, plus excellent benefits including company car scheme and homeworkers allowance. 35 hours per week.

Cats Protection is the UK’s leading feline welfare charity. We now help around 190,000 cats and kittens through our network of over 250 volunteer-run branches and 34 adoption centres and homing centres.

We are looking for someone to cover this key role during a 12 month period of Maternity Leave. This roles requires the job holder to support & advise the 8 Adoption Centres and 3 Homing Information Centres on all fundraising activity, whilst supporting and enabling the recruitment of fundraising volunteers. The centres cover a wide geographical area from Birmingham to Cornwall and including Belfast, so extensive travel will be required. Therefore you will be required to live within the region.

The role is varied and includes:

- Developing Cats Protection community fundraising in the regional adoption centre areas.

- Researching, identifying and promoting new and existing fundraising activities for adoption centres

- Implementing the regional fundraising strategy .

- Supporting the recruitment of fundraising volunteers via events and other activities.

- Building links with corporates at a local level, and working alongside the National Cat Centre (NCC) team to generate income through various streams, including Cats Protection products, cause related marketing and capital appeals

- Supporting third party fundraisers, ensuring their activities are consistent with current good practice.

- Working within approved budgets and plans, including monitoring of adoption centre fundraised income.

- Building strong working relationships with all internal departments, branches and volunteers.

- Working within the Community Fundraising team to support the charity’s fundraising strategy.

- Attending team and Cats Protection meetings and events as required

- Adopting the Institute of Fundraising’s Codes of Conduct in all aspects of the role

It is important that you are a strong relationship builder, that you are passionate about fundraising and that you are passionate about our team of volunteers. In addition, it is essential that you have the following skills, experience and knowledge:

'A' Level qualification(s) or Institute of Fundraising qualification
Minimum of two years fundraising or equivalent experience
Experience of managing multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities in an efficient and effective way
Microsoft Office skills - Word, Excel & Outlook
Evidence of experience working with a wide range of people.
Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively – orally and in writing.
Good organisational skills and an ability to meet deadlines.
Good presentation skills.
Confident telephone communicator.
Ability to work as a team member
Confident and have a responsive and helpful manner
Good decision making and problem solving skills
Positive resilient attitude and self motivated
Flexible and adaptable, capable of using initiative, tact and discretion
Sympathetic towards cats

You must be able to attend evening and weekend meetings, undertake extensive travel throughout the region, and be home-based within the Region. A clean UK driving licence is essential too.
