The Charity Advisory Team at CAF has grown over the last two years and we are now seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic Charity Advisor to join our team. You will provide long-term consultancy to charities, bringing your own knowledge and ideas to charity governance, strategy, finance and funding already within CAF, be in a position to make a real lasting impact on the charitable and social sectors.

The position is within a small, fast paced team at CAF and will report into the Charity Advisory Manager. You will be based in our London office but will travel across the UK to work on site with our charity clients. Working closely with all colleagues across CAF to make best use of our knowledge to support your charities is also a key part of the role.

You will have experience in working within or with charitable organisations in a strategic or advisory role, with a good understanding of the operational issues and opportunities relevant to small and medium sized charities. This role is a real opportunity to build on your knowledge and gain exposure to a range of causes, models and issues.  It could be an ideal role for someone who already has some experience and is keen to develop a career in consultancy, advisory or other strategic sector support roles.   

A typical day might involve researching the potential for charity corporate partnerships in one part of the country, facilitating a theory of change workshop with a trustee board and helping a Director think through the development of a major donor strategy. You don’t need to be an expert in all of these areas but be willing to learn and support the wider team, making connections between CAF’s expertise and knowledge and what charities need.
