Fundraising Officer (Trusts and Grants) 

Children’s Hospice South West is a registered charity dedicated to the provision of hospice care for children with life limiting conditions and their families in the South West. 

Position: Trusts & Grants Assistant 
Location: Little Harbour, St Austell, Cornwall 
Job type: Part Time, Permanent 
Hours: 15 hours per week 
Salary: £21,874 to £25,081 per annum, pro rata.

About the role: 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and organised individual to join our Fundraising Team as our Trusts & Grants Assistant. A creative thinker, with excellent research skills and an eye for detail, you will be responsible for researching and making funding applications to charitable trusts and foundations, providing end of funding impact and evaluation reports as required. 

Under direction from the Major Gifts, Trusts and Grants Officer, you will assist with the development and maintenance of new and long-term relationships through well-planned stewardship activities and the highest standards of donor care. 

About you: 

The role demands exemplary written skills with the ability to develop strong cases for support within inspirational proposals. You must have knowledge of the charity sector and grant-making bodies, an understanding of effective trust fundraising techniques, sound research and analytical skills with a meticulous eye for detail and experience of achieving challenging targets.
