DEVELOPMENT OFFICER (Major Gifts)

Christ Church’s Development & Alumni Relations Office is seeking an effective face-to-face fundraiser with the ability to build strong and lasting professional relationships with potential and existing benefactors.

The successful candidate will possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with high attention to detail, the motivation to work independently, and the discretion to be a team player. They must be educated to degree level, think strategically, and possess sound financial judgement, a strong interest in higher education and the College’s aims, and a sense of humour. Strong IT skills are a prerequisite.

Key tasks:

Working alongside the Director of Development to:

  • Deliver the college’s fundraising strategy;
  • Build and manage a portfolio of major prospects;
  • Deliver effective strategies for the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of all donors;
  • Produce fundraising proposals and cases for support for major prospects;
  • Produce financial reports for key meetings and internal publications;

This is a senior, full time position, reporting to the Development Director. The salary offered will be grade 7 point 5, from £36,261 per annum; this will be in accordance with experience.
