Head of Fundraising job £60,000-£70,000 Interview date the 3rd of November

The job holder will have responsibility for managing the fundraising team within DARO comprising 10 staff and will report to the Director.

The role includes helping to develop and manage fundraising activity supporting City's Schools, including a Regular Giving Programme, identifying and developing potential fundraising initiatives that are strategically important to City and managing a portfolio of high net worth relationships.

The ideal candidate will have experience of team leading a fundraising or business development department within a Higher Education environment, a track record of income generating success, of working with senior stakeholders and managing multi-disciplinary teams.

They will have a strong knowledge of relationship management techniques, current political issues and an appreciation of the role of Higher Education in the context of the wider economy.
They will possess strong fundraising or business development skills, have excellent interpersonal and team leadership skills.

They will have the ability to deal with people from a variety of professional and social backgrounds and be able to develop effective working relationships with colleagues whose professional objectives may differ from their own. They will be educated to degree level, have a preparedness to work unsocial hours when the need dictates and a passion for self-development.
