Policy Officer 

Today, 12 children and young people will hear the devastating news that they have cancer. CLIC Sargent is the UK’s leading cancer charity for children, young people and their families and provides them with clinical, practical, emotional and financial support. We fight tirelessly for children and young people with cancer, often when they feel they can’t. We also champion the voices and experiences of young people and their families by researching the issues affecting them and campaigning to make positive change happen.

About the role: 

We're looking for a dynamic Policy Officer to help make change happen at CLIC Sargent and to enable the Policy and Influencing Team to maximise the influence and impact of CLIC Sargent’s campaigning work. Could that be you? 

As Policy Officer you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of key aspects of CLIC Sargent’s Policy and Influencing Strategy and communicating our policy position about what CLIC Sargent believes needs to change. Key to the role is championing the voices and experiences of young cancer patients to policy makers across the UK. 

Reporting to the Head of Research, Policy and Campaigning, you will be responsible for keeping abreast of policy developments, providing sound policy analysis, producing quality, evidence-based policy papers and presenting CLIC Sargent’s policy positions with key external stakeholders and at external events.
