Community Fundraiser 

A great opportunity to work in the fundraising team of a registered charity. 

Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) is a registered charity dedicated to the provision of hospice care for children with life-limiting, life-threatening and chronic conditions and their families in the South West. 

Position: Community Fundraiser 
Location: North Devon, Little Bridge House / Chinon Court (covering West Somerset, East Devon, Exeter & Torbay) 
Hours: 37 hours per week 
Salary: £25,292 - £29,695 plus car allowance 

Closing date: Midday 2nd May 2017 
Interview date: 15th May 2017 

About the role: 

They have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Community Fundraiser to join their busy team at Little Bridge House. They are looking for an individual with the drive to develop income, build relationships, grow event support and initiate opportunities. An exemplary public speaker, you will raise significant awareness of CHSW by achieving demanding speaking engagement and other non-financial and financial targets. You will be leading volunteer management within your area.

About you: 

Excellent organisational skills and proven success in a relevant role such as fundraising, sales, marketing, events or media role. An understanding of effective regional/community fundraising techniques is required, as is an understanding of the importance of promoting a regional identity. 

Willingness to travel to other Children’s Hospice South West premises and throughout the South West Region, with occasional travel throughout the UK is essential. This may incur overnight stays. A full UK driving licence is therefore required. You must also have a flexible approach to working hours and be willing to work evenings and weekends. 

You may have experience of the following: Fundraiser, Charity, Charities, Third Sector, Grants, Trusts, Donor Management, Fundraiser, Fundraising, Not for Profit, Business Development, Grants Fundraiser, Foundations, Donations, Major Gifts, Trust Fundraiser, Client Relationship etc.
