Compassion in World Farming is the leading international farm animal welfare charity, campaigning to improve the lives of millions of farm animals through advocacy, lobbying for legislative change, and positive engagement with the global food industry. 

Position: Senior International Development Manager 
Location: UK based with regular travel to Compassion HQ Contract type: Full Time, Permanent 
Salary: £Competitive

About the Role: 

As our new Senior International Development Manager, you will be responsible for soliciting significant gifts and driving the cultivation of relationships with global philanthropists. Reporting into our Global Head of Major Gifts, you will work in the dynamic and ambitious team responsible for driving the recent growth in this area for us. 

You will be positive, proactive, can-do, confident and innovative about identifying and securing gifts at the highest levels. Inquisitive, talented and intellectually astute, you will manage a pool of UK and overseas donors, ensuring a healthy pipeline of prospects. Further, you will be personally committed and motivated to delivering ambitious income growth for our cause. 

About You: 

To succeed in this role, you will have a track record of soliciting significant at least five- figure gifts from major donors together with a demonstrable ability to establish, develop and manage relationships with High Net Worth Individuals. You will be entrepreneurial, creative, have gravitas, exceptional communication and negotiating skills and the ability to engage and influence senior volunteers and donors. 

As a growing part of this role will be establishing relations and securing gifts from High Net Worth Individuals in Europe and the USA, international experience and multiple languages would be an advantage. Your track record will show that you are target-driven; able to identify, create and convert opportunities for significant gifts; grow income from new markets and develop compelling cases for support. Experience of working in a campaigning environment would be an advantage.
