If you are an experienced professional who will help us to generate income, in order to deliver our new strategy through a varied programme of activities, events and campaigns. We would really like to hear from you!

Role requirements:

  • Work with the Community and Events Manager to develop and implement the Community Fundraising Strategy and contribute to its development through effective local area planning.

  • Achieve an agreed income target and work with the Community and Events Manager to seek out new opportunities and develop new initiatives and toolkits to exceed those targets where possible.

  • To work within a defined operating area to generate new and repeat income by providing excellent stewardship to individuals, small to medium local businesses, community and philanthropic groups, faith groups etc who organise their own or take part in third party fundraising events.

  • Develop and promote to supporters a range of innovative and engaging products and campaigns by which they can fundraise and work with Compton Care.

  • Manage key aspects of campaigns such as the marketing plan to increase recruitment of new supporters and the supporter journey in order to maximise fundraised income and increase retention rates.

  • To recruit, manage and support community volunteers and volunteer groups to help raise funds and awareness throughout the area Compton Care covers.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

We are looking for a forward thinking, creative and ambitious experienced fundraising professional, with at least 2 years’ experience, who can evidence their ability to undertake a fast-paced community fundraising role. The successful candidate will have experience in supporting the development and evaluation of new fundraising initiatives as well as using supporter journeys to build long lasting and productive relationships.

The fundraising department is busy, so you will need to cope well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, work to strict deadlines and show you are a team player with a passion for Compton Care. You will be able to manage a busy workload through great planning and organisational skills and deliver high quality work, as well as having excellent communication and presentation skills. You should have strong administration and IT (including database) skills and a good eye for detail.
