Development Director

The Oxford Institute for Energy Studies is seeking to appoint a senior level Development Director. Reporting to the Director, the Development Director will be responsible for the achievement of the annual fundraising target and the design, implementation and delivery of the fundraising strategic plan.

The Development Director is tasked with growing the well-established base of funders from the strong position that has been built over recent years, and maximising financial contributions to the OIES.  Working with the Director, and other senior staff, the post holder will develop and implement a plan for maximising funding through analysis of the existing funding model, relationship building with existing funders, identifying future funders and developing opportunities for campaigns, target groups, and distribution channels.

To be successful you will have experience of the energy industry, be experienced in Fundraising Leadership and will currently be working in, or have worked in, senior leadership roles, and have a proven track record of personally achieving fundraising targets. 

OIES is based in Oxford, but the post holder is not required to be in the OIES office on a daily basis; however, there will be regular meetings in Oxford for interaction with the Director and senior staff. Some travel, both UK and overseas, will be required for the role.
