This is an incredibly exciting time to join Northern Stage: over the last three years we have expanded our artistic, participation and talent development activity, secured over £300k in capital donations towards the redevelopment of Stage 3, and attracted major investment from funders including Esmee Fairbairn and Clothworkers Foundation towards our work with economically disadvantaged and diverse communities. We are exploring innovative new models of creative engagement, and strive to be at the forefront of reimagining the possibilities of what a 21st century regional producing theatre can be. We are seeking a dynamic, effective and experienced fundraiser to play a key role in contributing to a thriving organisation with ambitious plans for the years ahead.

The Development Manager leads the creation and implementation of Northern Stage’s fundraising strategy, proactively securing funds across three key areas of Trusts & Foundations, Corporate Sponsorship and Individual Giving.  They are responsible for cultivating and stewarding a broad and effective range of relationships with individuals and organisations regionally and nationally, in order to maintain and increase the current annual fundraising target of £250k.  The work of the Development Department is supported by the whole organisation, and the Artistic and Executive Directors (joint-CEOs), Chair, Board and Development Sub-Committee (DSC) play an engaged and active role in fundraising.  The Development Manager is a member of the Management Team.
