Suffolk County Council and the University of Suffolk have formed a partnership to deliver an exciting new heritage facility, called The Hold.

The Hold will introduce, inspire, and interpret Suffolk's rich archival heritage in new and engaging ways. A new flagship building will give the bulk of Suffolk's records a new, fit-for-purpose home and provide learning facilities within a unique visitor attraction in the Waterfront area of Ipswich - England's oldest, continually occupied town. Meanwhile our Activity Plan: 'Mapping Suffolk's Stories' will support sustainable partnerships with communities, learners and researchers, enabling collections to be accessed and understood by a larger, more diverse range of users.

Our project has succeeded in attracting initial support from the Heritage Lottery Fund and we are in the early stages of our Development Phase.

To help deliver our vision for combining heritage with community engagement and education, we require a Fundraising Consultant, a Conservation Plan Consultant, and a Freelance Conservator to work with us.

Suppliers interested in these opportunities should register on the Suffolk Sourcing website and consult the tender documents which contain full details and how to submit.

The client is happy to conduct telephone interviews for overseas candidates.
