DFID Programme Funding Lead

Tearfund has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, strategic thinker with a proven track record of developing relationships and securing funds from ​DFID,​ both in-country and at headquarters. 

The successful candidate will have experience of senior representation and possess ​a strong understanding of ​DFIDs strategic direction, priorities and procedures.

The role will be responsible for leading Tearfund's Global funding relationship with DFID, and will involve close collaboration with Tearfund's Senior Government Relations Advisor. ​

You will possess excellent presentation and communication skills and extensive experience in leading on proposal development, working with complex budgets and ​grant management.

This role will ​involve proactively ​scoping​ new opportunities​ and ​a​ccompanying staff in the development and implementation of programme funding strategies​. This will include ​​​travel overseas to country programmes to develop funding relationships and increase in-country capacity through training to acquire and manage DFID funding.
