Like to develop your fundraising career in the Supporter Engagement team of a charity helping those most in need around the capital? Build your skills in a varied role, and be at the centre of implementing our new fundraising strategy.

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our busy Fundraising department as Fundraising Officer, based in our offices in the heart of Victoria. The role of the department is to support and enable thousands of volunteers who fundraise every week in parishes, as well as growing income for numerous programmes and projects centrally.

The Catholic Diocese of Westminster is led by Cardinal Vincent Nichols and is home to Westminster Cathedral, 214 parishes and 215 schools, serving people in 17 Local Authorities in London north of the Thames, as well as Hertfordshire and part of Surrey. We spend our £55m income on a huge range of activities, from parishes and schools, to hundreds of projects helping those most in need in society, including a refuge for female survivors of human trafficking and a social enterprise hub that enables marginalised people to start their own business.

In this important role, which would suit someone with community giving or individual giving experience, you will primarily be responsible for helping parishes increase regular giving from parishioners. You will also help develop capital appeals, work with major donors and trusts, and help with events.

Applications are welcome from people of any background. You do not have to be Catholic but an understanding of the Church would be an advantage. This role will suit a confident, creative individual with solid communication, organisational and co-ordination skills.

Hours of work: 35 hours per week (Core hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Some regional travel and regular evening work during certain periods is required, but time off in lieu is offered.)

Salary: £32,000, plus good benefits and training

Closing date: 1 June 2018

Please note that we do not accept CVs – you’ll need to complete an application form. Applicants will need to be able to provide evidence that they have the right to work in the UK.
