Unicef ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. We have done more to influence laws and policies to help protect children than anyone else. We get things done. And we’re not going to stop until the world is a safe place for all our children.

At Unicef UK, the Direct Marketing team plays a unique role in connecting the British public to the needs of children around the world. By creating outstanding supporter experiences and compelling propositions, we help bring on-board supporters who can change the lives of millions of children forever. We do this using a wide range of media including direct dialogue, print, DRTV, Outdoor, Radio and digital. We’re a high-performing, friendly and supportive team where attention to detail and teamwork deliver award-winning results. As a result of growth and internal movement, we are recruiting for a number of opportunities within the team.

As Direct Marketing Officer, you will work across a range of media, and help lead the acquisition team in recruiting new supporters for Unicef UK. We have an ambitious five year fundraising strategy to significantly grow our supporter recruitment and you will have the opportunity to deliver transformative, supporter-centric campaigns to support this and deliver results for children. You will take responsibility for planning, delivering and reforecasting campaigns, manage key agency relationships, and work across Unicef UK to ensure we are maximising opportunities to reach our ambitious targets.

Whether your experience is from the private or not-for-profit sector, you’ll need a proven track record of acquiring new customers through direct marketing activities, as well as a background of working with external agencies to deliver projects. You must also be skilled at managing multiple projects at the same time while maintaining a high level of drive and commitment at all times.

Closing date: 5pm, Friday 4 August 2017.

Interview date: Wednesday 16 August 2017.

We welcome applications from a diverse range of people, respecting and drawing on different perspectives, skills, experience and knowledge.

The successful candidate will be required to apply for a Basic Disclosure from Disclosure Scotland. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us. This will depend on the nature of the role and the circumstances of your offences.

We only accept online applications as this saves us money, making more funds available for us to help ensure children’s rights. CVs will not be accepted.

If you do not hear from us within 14 days of the closing date, please assume your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion. Please note that we only provide feedback to shortlisted candidates.
