Community Fundraiser

East Cheshire Hospice is based in Macclesfield and supports patients with life limiting illnesses and their families. Our mission is “to provide the highest quality of care and support to the people we serve”.

As Community Fundraiser you will be responsible for helping to develop and maintain our relationships within the community. You will proactively identify, recruit and retain new community supporters, manage key community relationships and manage a number of new and existing fundraising initiatives.

This is an income generating role and we are looking to recruit someone with a passion for fundraising, who has the drive to meet and exceed demanding financial targets. This role will suit someone who enjoys meeting people, establishing and maintaining relationships and has excellent organisation skills. The ideal candidate will have fantastic communication and interpersonal skills, will be comfortable pitching, presenting and talking to community audiences, and will be an energetic, positive team player. The successful person will also have good IT skills and be able to work effectively in a busy environment.

Due to the nature of this role, being a car owner or having the ability to travel within the Hospice catchment area is essential.
