Fundraising Manager

Reporting into the Head of Community & Events you will create long lasting relationships of value with individuals and groups across Scotland as well as contributing to the work of our clients Relationship Fundraising team by supporting corporate partnerships and major donor fundraising.

Location: Home based, Scotland

Hours: 37.5 hours per week 
Salary: £27,000 to £30,000 per annum depending on experience

About the role: 

They’re looking for a dynamic, passionate and entrepreneurial individual to help create new networks of support across Scotland. Ideally, you’ll have experience of working in a relationship fundraising role, a passion for developing relationships with supporters, enabling them to achieve and raise more than they thought was possible and a drive to deliver results. 

Reporting into the Head of Community & Events you will create long lasting relationships of value with individuals and groups across Scotland as well as contributing to the work of our clients Relationship Fundraising team by supporting corporate partnerships and major donor fundraising. 

Responsibilities: 

- Building strong and lasting relationships with supporters, delivering excellent customer care and developing supporters to maximise their potential. 
- Ensuring that the Charity is able to capitalise on opportunities across Scotland; corporate partnerships, identification of major gift and trust prospects. 
- Responsible for meeting the growing Community & Events Fundraising net income targets 
- Contributing to and effectively implementing Community and Events Fundraising Strategy and Operational Plans 
- Contributing to and providing local and regional knowledge into the Relationship Fundraising strategy and operational plans 
- Responsible for excellent stewardship for mid to high value community supporters developing personalised supporter development plans and delivering these via telephone, email and face to face meetings 
- Management of community fundraising volunteers 
- Delivering engaging presentations and talks about our client, inspiring people to get involved with the organisation in both financial and non-financial ways 
- Identify local, regional and national opportunities to secure income and support from corporates and membership associations and groups (Lions, Rotary, Round Table, golf clubs etc.) 
- Supporting and planning delivery of key networking events and opportunities for prospective new corporate partners, high-net-worth supporters and grant making trusts and foundations 
- Responsible for spotting opportunities for other fundraising teams and the wider organisation. 
- Contribute to cross organisational project and initiatives as required 
- Be the designated lead for a specific area of Community & Events Fundraising activity such as Philanthropy, Partnerships, In Aid of Fundraising, Celebration Fundraising, or In Memory Fundraising. 
- Ensure all activity is delivered in line with our clients policies and procedures and external regulation / legislation including the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice 

About you: 

This is a great opportunity to play a key part in developing an impactful fundraising presence in Scotland for a charity with an emotive cause and strong ambitions to deliver more for kidney patients sooner. 

This role is homebased. You will be willing to travel throughout Scotland (and to Head Office in Peterborough), and work evenings and weekends as required. 

Essential Skills / Experiences: 

- Excellent account management skills 
- Significant experience of working in a relationship fundraising role or equivalent 
- Managing volunteers 
- Demonstrate experience of securing new business and implementing plans to maximise fundraising and (employee) engagement 
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK and work evenings and weekends as required (TOIL is available in line with our policy) 
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including presentations) 

Desirable Skills / Experiences: 

- Demonstrate experience of using databases as a tool for delivering excellent supporter engagement 
- Good standard of IT literacy including Word and Excel programmes 
- Experience of fundraising innovation / fundraising product development 
- Experience of marketing and communications within fundraising 
- Experience in effectively evaluating activities and programmes of work
