Full-time, 6 month probationary period followed by a permanent contract, 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks (not term time only)

Salary - £20,000 per annum

Elmhurst Ballet School is a highly successful vocational ballet boarding school associated with Birmingham Royal Ballet and is based one mile from the city centre in Edgbaston.

The school offers boarding facilities with around 120 students living on site and a further 80 Sixth Form students living in accommodation nearby. 

We are looking for a Development Assistant to support the work of the Development team. Reporting to the Head of Development and Engagement and working closely with external specialists, the role of Development Assistant is varied with responsibility for developing and maintaining the School’s communication channels, copy writing for multiple audiences, coordinating advertising and print, maintaining the CRM systems, organising events and supporting the team as required. 

Ideally you will have sound communication and event organisational skills, with a high standard of English grammar and attention to detail. You will have an aptitude for and interest in social media and ICT systems and be a team player with a flexible approach to your work.  An interest in ballet and education would be an advantage, as would photography skills.
