Full-time, 6 month probationary period followed by a permanent contract, 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks (not term time only)

Elmhurst Ballet School is a highly successful vocational ballet boarding school associated with Birmingham Royal Ballet and is based one mile from the city centre in Edgbaston.

The school offers boarding facilities with around 120 students living on site and a further 80 Sixth Form students living in accommodation nearby.

We are looking for a Fundraising Officer to join our Development team as soon as possible. The Fundraising Officer will be responsible for coordinating and developing Elmhurst’s fundraising programme in order to maximise philanthropic support to enable the school’s bursary programme and margin of excellence. This includes managing the trusts and foundations bid writing programme, managing key stakeholder relationships including membership groups, existing donors, and importantly, helping to cultivate new ones. The Fundraising Officer will be responsible for planning and co-ordinating all fundraising and stewardship events and initiatives, in line with Elmhurst’s fundraising strategy.

This role is being advertised as a full time role, however part time hours (30 hours per week) would also be considered. 

The successful candidate will have a ‘can do’ approach to their work, will be creative, good with people, efficient and have an excellent command of written and oral communication as well as good IT skills.
