The role of the Events Manager is to:

October start 

  • Have responsibility for the logistics of: Fundraising Convention, National Fundraising Awards, Institute one day conferences and one-off events, ensuring excellent standards of delivery plus high customer/trainer/speaker/exhibitor/sponsor/volunteer satisfaction
  • Maintain efficient procedures and clear communication with all stakeholders
  • Negotiate with venues and other suppliers, effectively managing contracts to optimise value and deliver within budgeted costs
  • Liaise with the Finance team to process supplier invoices and ensure the Head of Events has accurate and up to date information on expenditure for budgeting, forecasting and reporting
  • Support IoF Groups in their training and event activities where feasible

Background:

This role is a key one within the team and is responsible for the logistics of all Institute learning activities ensuring that our events and training activities are delivered to the highest possible standards. It is a significant personal and professional development opportunity for the right candidate, who will bring experience, creativity, proactivity, best practice and innovation to the role.  The post holder will have up-to-date awareness of relevant technologies, including basic AV, webinars and social media.
