Street League is an exciting sport for development organisation that uses sport and physical activity to tackle youth unemployment. We do this by working with young people aged 16-24 from disadvantaged areas, and engaging them in structured sport and education programmes with a view to supporting them into work, mainstream education or training. Our award-winning programme works – last year we progressed 70% of our participants into work, training or education.

We are a growing organisation and currently operate across the UK in 14 regions, including Greater London, the North East and North West of England, Yorkshire, the Midlands and across seven regions in Scotland.

We are currently recruiting an experienced, highly motivated Events Manager based in London who will work across the UK to establish a portfolio of challenge, sporting and special events. Street League have excellent relationships with corporates and referral partners, a strong national presence and passionate staff. We have recently rebranded our sports programmes and are well respected within the sport for development sector.

This is a newly developed post for Street League and the post holder will be responsible for identifying, testing and developing a range of new sporting, challenge and special events across the UK. You will grow these events year on year, take the lead on all marketing of events and steward all event participants to ensure excellent levels of supporter care.

You will have extensive event management experience in establishing, implementing and growing programmes of challenge, sporting and special events. Ideally you will also have experience of developing a community fundraising strategy so that we can provide ‘off-the-shelf’ initiatives for community fundraising.

This role would suit someone who is a self-starter that relishes a challenge, has strong organisation skills, attention to detail and experience in budget management. You will be a people-person with strong creativity skills who is excited about joining a strong brand.

Street League will begin screening candidates prior to the closing date and an appointment could be made ahead of this date. Candidates are strongly advised to send their applications as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Formal interviews are due to take place on Monday 22 May 2017 in London.
