We’re looking for a proactive individual who is used to managing face-to-face teams, to join us as Face to Face Fundraising Manager. Your main responsibilities will be to train and retain our London F2F fundraising teams and make sure our in-house activity maximises income.

As a charity, Shelter depends increasingly upon voluntary income. Individual Giving makes up a large percentage of that income, largely through a significant regular giving programme, while our in-house team focuses on F2F & D2D fundraising which delivers around 85% of Shelter’s new regular giving supporters. Indeed, we run a number of teams across the UK. And, with a pioneering three-year strategy in place that includes a major transformation of our Fundraising Division, now’s a particularly exciting time to join us.

Benefits include 30 days annual leave, the possibility of flexible working and significant opportunities for learning and development.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Providing excellent people management and leadership by setting high team standards
  • Making sure all F2F fundraisers receive full and proper training
  • Monitoring the performance of teams and individuals and identifying and acting upon areas where improvement is needed
  • Liaising with external suppliers and contacts to see that we meet and comply with PFRA guidelines for F2F activity.

And what you’ll need:

  • Experience of managing F2F teams
  • A commercially aware, proactive and results driven approach and a flair for applying creative thinking to bring about new ideas and approaches
  • Excellent leadership, communication and relationship building skills and the confidence to deal effectively with potentially difficult situations
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, email and the internet as well as databases for reporting purposes.
