Shine is looking to significantly grow services over the next five years which means income generation must be in line with our strategic aims. We believe we will achieve our goals by engaging a specialist fundraising team. A team dedicated to the cause, with the breadth of knowledge and proven success to deliver income beyond expectations.

Based in the South West and reporting to the Development Fundraising Manager in HQ Peterborough you will develop income across your designated area from the Community at large. You will be supported by staff based in Peterborough and work closely with support staff in your area.

You will grow income through ethical, legal and relational fundraising methods.

You will have at least two year’s experience in fundraising. You will be proactive, and be able to network and secure f2f meetings as a rule in order to pitch and engage supporters. You will also build long term relationships with the stakeholders you manage.

Using Raiser’s Edge and Salesforce you will manage and prospects and donors and develop pipelines in order to deliver income.  

You will be given specific targets to raise for core services as well as secure funding for special projects. For example, seek funding for Shine Clinics in your area by engaging those living and working in the area.  

Shine’s strategic intent is to develop health education in schools delivered by service staff working in the field where Shine members who are children of school age live. You will be expected to develop this area of income as a priority while working with fundraisers based at HQ and service staff. Therefore, you will need to have a firm understanding and proven success in developing community engagement and building strong internal relationships.

Shine’s USP are ten virtual balloon races a year. A small sales team based in Peterborough generate £840K per year garnered from a high number and wide range of companies. In order to enhance and maximise income, you will work with your line manager, in cross selling products and engaging staff within companies based in your area with the long term aim of securing Corporate Agreements with companies with synergy and CSR policies in line Shine and the cause.  

The role will be challenging and you will be given the tools and support to succeed. This is an exciting role and one which you will be able to thrive and develop your career. There will be opportunities to travel throughout your area as you develop income, working with fundraisers in the field and services staff. You will be expected to visit HQ for team meetings.
