Fulham Palace is a truly remarkable place. For centuries, this Grade I Listed building situated in extensive grounds by the River Thames was the country residence of the Bishops of London. The Palace is now managed by the Fulham Palace Trust, which is inspired by a vision to restore our nationally significant historic buildings and grounds to their original beauty and to provide outstanding facilities for the local community and visitors from farther afield.

Since the establishment of a fundraising function at Fulham Palace in 2012 we have developed a successful membership and fundraising programme. In 2013 we launched a £3.8 million capital campaign to restore the Tudor quadrangle and gardens and are now just £145,000 short of our target. Capital works begin on site this month.

Our outgoing Development Officer has made a huge impact in the role and so we are looking for someone to build on her success, grow our membership programmes and meet our targets for capital and revenue funding.

You will be a talented and energetic individual of graduate calibre with highly developed communication and organisational skills and demonstrable fundraising experience. You will be responsive to our Board of Trustees, and keen to continue to develop your fundraising knowledge and experience. In return, we offer a very special opportunity to develop a career with a caring and forward-looking employer which champions fundraising as central to its bright future.

Initially, the post holder will report directly to the Chief Executive. We are planning to strengthen the fundraising function later in the year with the appointment of a senior manager who will lead both the fundraising and the communications roles.

Interested candidates should visit the Fulham Palace website to read the full Job Description before downloading and completing the Application and Equal Opportunities Forms and return them to the Palace’s Business Support Officer by 9.00am on Monday 19 February 2018. Curriculum Vitae’s will not be accepted without a completed application form.

Closing date: 9.00 am Monday 26 February 2018
