Fundraising Manager.  A highly competitive salary of between £27,000 to £32,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.

British Blind Sport has significantly grown over the past few years and the charity has recently launched a new strategy taking us through to 2020.  With a number of exciting projects and programmes ahead of us we need someone to lead our ambitious fundraising programme.

As the National Disability Sport Organisation representing visually impaired people, our work varies from providing grassroots opportunities to working with international athletes, leading on sight classification for national and international competitions and developing educational resources to assist coaches and PE teachers to deliver quality sporting experiences for blind and partially sighted people. 

To support our sustainable business plan, your role as a member of the senior management team will be to pick up and lead on the design and implementation of diverse income generation streams including Major Donors, Community Fundraising, Legacy, Corporate Partnerships and Sponsorship and Trusts and Foundations.  An all-rounder, experienced and dynamic fundraiser who can think strategically and innovatively is who we are looking for.

Essential Criteria:

  • An experienced and confident fundraiser
  • Ability to instigate and actively support a fundraising programme across a diverse range of income streams  
  • To be able to evidence achieving fundraising targets
  • Experience of managing and supporting a small team
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills
  • Able to write compelling content for a range of audiences
  • Able to use a CRM system and maintain effective management information systems
  • To be a team player

The ideal candidate will have a track record of success in strategic fundraising and partnership working, preferably in a comparable organisation.
