Rock UK is a Christian organisation that is passionate about transforming young lives by bringing adventure into outdoor learning. Every year over 50,000 young people from schools, churches and other groups visit one of Rock UK’s four activity centres spread throughout the country. Many children benefit from our bursary places which ensure that no one is left behind and every year we run an instructor training programme equipping young people with valuable life skills, discipleship and outdoor activity training.

To support Rock UK we are looking for an experienced fundraising manager who will pick up and lead on the design and implementation of diverse income generation streams including major donors, community fundraising, legacy, corporate partnerships and trusts.

We are looking for someone:

  • Who is an experienced and confident fundraiser with a successful track record of generating income.

  • Who has the ability to instigate and actively support a fundraising programme across a diverse range of income streams

  • Who has outstanding interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills

  • Who is able to write compelling content for a range of audiences

There is an Occupational Requirement (OR) that the person appointed to this role is a practising Christian as you will be required to appropriately represent Rock UK and its Christian ethos.

Your active Christian faith will enable you to demonstrate our Christian ethos and will see you working closely with Christian organisations, churches, schools and partner charities to generate awareness of Rock UK’s centres and our instructor training programme.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop detailed plans to reach fundraising potential from a range of income streams

  • Seek out new fundraising opportunities, relationships and networks

  • Build relationships with major donors or companies and make presentations

  • Raise awareness of the organisation’s work

  • Build, manage and facilitate the programme of fundraising activities, including mailings and events

  • Support trainee instructors to reach their individual fundraising targets

  • Provide an important link between the charity, business and local community
