Grandparents Plus is the only charity dedicated to all grandparents who play a part in the care and development of their grandchildren. As leading experts, we provide independent advice and support, with a particular focus on grandparents raising children as ‘kinship carers’ due to difficult family circumstances, including parental death, drug or alcohol misuse and imprisonment. Our advice service and practical support programmes make us a lifeline for hundreds of families each year, as well as a trusted partner for local authorities and other charities.

The role

You will be responsible for generating significant funds for Grandparents Plus, primarily from grant-making trusts, foundations and lottery sources, reaching agreed income targets to enable the charity to grow its reach and impact.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape and develop a fundraising function within a developing and ambitious charity. Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will play a key role in developing and implementing plans to diversify our income portfolio and drive sustainable income growth, including securing income from trusts, foundations, corporates and individuals. This is a developing role and we are looking for an individual with solid skills in raising funds from trusts and foundations, as well as a wider knowledge and interest in developing new funding streams.

To apply, please send a CV via the Apply button with a supporting statement to show how you meet the criteria as set out in the person specification.

Closing date: Noon on 28th September 2017.
