Allergy UK is the leading national charity working to improve the lives of those affected by allergy.

We are currently looking to build on and develop our fundraising activity.  To help us to achieve our fundraising targets, we have created a new role to work on bids and grants. The successful applicant will be an experienced fundraiser with demonstrable experience in this area, they will also support the community fundraising activity.

Although the role will be based in our Sidcup offices we will consider an element of home working for the right candidate, the position is for three days a week.

Key responsibilities will include;

  • Identifying suitable sources of charitable trust and foundation funding for projects and programmes of activity and monitor the external funding environment, alerting colleagues to appropriate new sources as required.
  • Writing funding applications to bodies such as charitable trusts, BIG Lottery, local and regional funding sources as required.
  • Managing a pipeline of projects requiring funding, working closely with colleagues to develop individual project action plans to meet overall charity targets.
  • Researching and developing fundraising opportunities for current and potential new projects, and secure funds from the public, private and voluntary sectors.
  • Supporting individual and organisational relationship building activities with our key charitable trust and foundation targets.
