Fundraising Officer

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced fundraiser to join our growing team and assist us in moving to the next phase of our development, influence and impact.

Carers Worldwide is the only organisation exclusively highlighting and tackling the issues facing unpaid family carers in developing countries. This vulnerable and hidden group, caring for family members who are disabled, sick or elderly, are at high risk of social stigma, isolation, ill health and poverty. We promote their inclusion and give them a voice. We do this by partnering with local NGOs to facilitate carer-specific services: emotional support groups, access to healthcare and counselling, respite and support for livelihoods activities that can co-exist with caring. To promote long term change, we promote Carers Associations and work with governments, national and international NGOs to bring about changes in policy and practice for carers. We are a small team, based primarily in the UK and working with partners in India, Nepal and Bangladesh. Established in 2012, we have achieved significant impact in a short space of time, successfully attracting funding from a range of institutional donors. We are now seeking a Fundraising Officer who can support us in our next phase of growth, influence and impact and add the capacity we seek to enable us to meet the income targets set in our strategic plan for 2017-2019. This will be a senior position in the organisation, with the potential to grow and develop fundraising expertise and capacity.
