Premier are recruiting for an exciting new role in a fast-paced, multi-media organisation, working with the Fundraising Management Team by developing and executing creative promotions across all Premier platforms to build the profile of the brands and increase donors and event attendees.

In addition, to support Premier’s fundraising activity by project managing Premier on-air / online appeals.  This role also supports third party promotions, including developing and executing the Charity of the Year appeals in conjunction with the Sales Team.

Key Tasks

Projects

Coordination of Premier on air appeals: Radiothon fund-raisers & general radio fundraising

  • Preparation of strategy for appeals and setting of financial targets
  • Work with Fundraising Management Team to align messaging to appeals
  • Creation & management of staff roster for Radiothon Fund-raisers, on-air & support staff  on the phones, monitor budget, progress and totals, as well as post analysis of appeal outcomes including donors, gifts and income generation
  • Overall supervision of appeals / monitor & amend messaging/tactics where necessary

Execution of Premier ‘Charity Of The Year’ appeals

  • Work with the Group Sales Manager to prepare strategy for appeals and setting of financial targets
  • Develop ideas for how to sell the CoY proposition & align messaging to appeals
  • Overall supervision of appeals / monitor & amend messaging/tactics where necessary
  • Monitor progress and totals, as well as post analysis of appeal outcomes including donors, gifts and income generation

Direct Mail

  • Coordinate the monthly Direct Mailing programme along with the Fundraising Management Team
  • Compile briefings on strategy/messaging & define mailing specifications
  • Work with Database team on data order and segmentation of mailing list
  • Management of scheduling of appeal mailings, internal and with the mailing house.
  • Monitoring results of mailings – financial and trends in donor behaviour including the running of reports on campaigns via CRM packages
  • Generating written response to complaints and queries, as advised by the Fundraising Management Team

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level (essential)
  • Proven experience in target driven fundraising (essential)
  • Good demonstrable experience in project management (essential)
  • Professional qualification in fundraising (desirable)
  • Experience in fundraising via media platforms (desirable)
  • Experience of managing budgets and costing projects (desirable)
  • An understanding of media and web (desirable)
  • Copywriting skills (desirable)
