Head of Development

The Geological Society is a seeking to recruit a Head of Development to devise and implement a strategic approach to fundraising and wider income-generating activity, so creating new and sustainable sources of income for the Society. S/he will lead on nurturing new business/enterprise opportunities, diversifying the Society’s income, instilling an entrepreneurial approach within the organisation, and seizing opportunities to strengthen our long-term success, sustainability and resilience.

This is a significant career opportunity to establish the first development office in the Society’s history and enable us to promote the national and global importance of geoscience.

The successful candidate will ideally be an experienced and successful fundraiser who can demonstrate genuine commitment to the Society’s objectives in service of science, fellowship and society.
