Is this you?: Do you have a proven track-record in researching, collating, preparing, submitting and succeeding with multiple grant/funding applications along with strong monitoring and evaluation skills? Are you creative, persuasive and a confident communicator? Are you an ambitious and innovative fundraiser that thrives in pulling together powerful bids and hungry to exceed targets? And do you carry a strong track record of success and a desire to see The Orchard Project create the greatest impact it can?

We are a pioneering charity, dedicated to creating skilled communities to plant, care for and harvest fruit trees, connecting urban communities and increasing access to fruit. We work in partnership with communities and support people to plant, manage, restore and harvest their own orchards. We help put the fruit to good use and we rebuild the skills and knowledge of orcharding and orchard heritage. We aim to make a serious contribution to a better, locally-led food system.

We are seeking an experienced Grants & Trusts Fundraising Manager with a proven track-record of generating significant income through both small and large grant and trust applications.

The role is permanent, on 22.5 hours a week. Working here you'll find a brilliant set of colleagues and an energetic, fun, flexible and ambitious working environment. We spend our time trying to have the greatest impacts we can and a good time together as we do it.

We have had several very successful years as a growing charity generating substantial multi-years grants and contracts with grant-giving organisations and corporate sponsors. We are now looking to embed sustainable income long-term through a number of priority income channels of which grants, trusts and foundations are a major source. With the departure of our current general Fundraising Manager, we are now converting the role to focus on building and managing our income from this area on a sustained basis.

The Grants and Trusts Fundraising Manager will be the sole dedicated fundraising role, although you will work closely with the CEO who will also have responsibility for driving income in other areas beyond grants and trusts. We really want someone who is hungry to find ways to generate income and innovative in approach and project ideas - you will be someone that badgers the CEO with new ideas and potential, consistently identifies new funding opportunities and is constantly making the case to the wider staff body for funding and potential projects.

If you have the track-record and you’re as excited about the potential of this role as we are then we really want to hear from you.

The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
