We now seek to improve our support by merging with the Royal Marines Association  to deliver one unified Corps Charity, providing a one stop shop for through life support.  

As we approach this new stage in the Charity’s development, we wish to appoint a new Director of Fundraising and Marketing. You will lead the fundraising, marketing and communications team to ensure a secure future for the support given to those who put their lives on the line for our nation and their families who face the challenge of supporting them.

Your mission

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership of the marketing and communications activities of the Charity.

  • Provide advice to the Board and input to its fundraising and marketing strategies

  • Manage and lead the fundraising, marketing and communications team and wider business network

  • Deliver the income target and existing income streams to achieve full potential and identify potential new members and donors

  • Deliver all fundraising / networking events to achieve the charity’s budget and network expansion aspirations.

Who are we looking for?

Potential candidates for this unique and exciting opportunity will be successful and proven commercial and business focused professionals with relevant skills and experience from either the Commercial or Third sectors.

You will be:

  • Used to working in an environment where performance is judged against clear targets

  • Able to implement and deliver strategy

  • Able to build, lead, motivate and inspire strong teams

  • Able to build and develop robust and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Able to multi-task, communicating effectively with colleagues

  • Successful in delivery of large and small scale projects.

You will identify with the spirit and values of the Charity and really want to make a difference to our beneficiaries. You will be a team player who enjoys working collaboratively and with other stakeholders. The role has a London focus, but involves regular travel to other locations.
