At Greenpeace, we do not accept any government or corporate funding and so rely almost entirely on donations from individuals. As a result, new supporter recruitment provides the foundation of all our plans and we are looking for an influential, passionate and innovative Head of Supporter Recruitment (Direct and Digital Marketing) to join our dynamic team and help shape our supporter recruitment programme.

Greenpeace is an international non-profit global campaigning organisation. Our independence and global reach enables us to defend the natural world and promote peace by investigating, exposing and confronting environmental abuse, and championing responsible solutions for our fragile environment.

About this pivotal position:

This is an exciting time to join Greenpeace and, reporting to the Deputy Fundraising Director, our successful candidate will play a critical senior role in our future as you lead a team of four marketing executives to meet the targets of our supporter recruitment programme. You will be responsible for developing and delivering the programme’s digital and direct marketing strategy, setting annual budgets and reviewing performance and progress continually throughout the year.

Utilising fully your specialist marketing skills, you will determine the optimum channel mix and maintain a diverse and stable marketing portfolio of channels, propositions and products. A collaborative ethos is also key, as you will work closely with cross-organisational teams seeking to maximise Greenpeace’s campaign reach and fundraising opportunities by helping develop and inform campaign strategy and deliver engaging and effective multi-channel communications.

To make sure you don’t miss out:

You must be an inspirational and organised leader who shares the team’s passion for creative digital communications and thrives on working in a fast-paced and energetic environment. You will have significant experience using direct and digital marketing techniques and developing strategies for marketing acquisition programmes. A proven track record in digital response-driven marketing and/or lead generation and conversion techniques is essential.

An outstanding communicator, both verbal and written, you will possess excellent prioritisation, numerical and organisational skills. You will also have a strong belief in, and commitment to, Greenpeace UK’s mission, vision and values.
