Hours: Full time (37 hours per week) / part time or job share negotiable
Reporting to: Business Development Manager
Location: Gateshead - However, Groundwork has multiple offices across the North East and flexibility can be discussed.

About the role 
Groundwork has an exciting opportunity within its Business Development/ Land and Communities Team for a Business Development Officer.  In this pivotal role, you will support and lead on the development of funding bids and tenders as well as proactive development, sharing of funding intelligence and best practice. 

About you 
We are seeking someone with experience in researching, preparing and submitting funding applications and tenders. You must have strong communication, monitoring and evaluation skills.  You will support Senior Managers across Groundwork and take an active role in building and maintaining relationships with external partners and funding organisations.
