Head of Fundraising

Pro-Action Hertfordshire supports, represents and champions the many organisations and individuals across Hertfordshire who work with children and young people.

This is a new and challenging role - we need an experienced, proactive senior Head of Fundraising, to develop income streams that will bring in sustainable funds quickly through their own established contacts, ours and new avenues.  This may be through developing a range of existing income streams via corporate relationships, partnerships and trust funds, and by other appropriate means.  You will work closely with the CEO to whom you report, the Head of External Relations and p/t Membership Liaison Co-ordinator. We currently use the services of a consultant Trust Fund Raiser just 3 days per month.  The deliverables of this main strategic role will also be monitored via a monthly sub-committee of Trustees and management.

We currently support over 150 organisations. This represents over 20,000 young people and children, 2,500 volunteers and 1,000 full and part-time paid staff. We provide a high quality service that supports those working with children and young people. We do a great job but want to increase our capacity – that's why we need someone with passion, drive, has an understanding of the voluntary/community sector, is results focused with the proven skills to bring in funds quickly and that are sustainable in the longer term - to support our valued and much needed work.  In some cases we are the only provider of these services in Hertfordshire, which is our USP.

Pro-Action is a great organisation to work in, we have a team approach and commitment is high and achieving results is what we do. This is a key senior role, results are needed – hence we seek someone to make a real difference to deliver income immediately.

Salary is £45-50,000 per annum, plus the possibility of commission for exceptional results, plus benefits, 4-5 days a week, with some flexibility for the right person.
