Head of Major Giving

Street League is an exciting, fast growing charity that uses sport and physical activity to tackle youth unemployment. We specialise in helping our participants (16-24 year olds from disadvantaged areas) progress from our unique football, fitness or dance-fitness and education programmes into sustainable employment, education and training.

We are a growing organisation and currently operate across the UK in 14 regions, including Greater London, the North East and North West of England, Yorkshire, the Midlands and across Scotland.

We are currently recruiting a Head of Major Giving for a maternity-cover post (1 year). The Head of Major Giving is part of the Core Management Team (CMT) at Street League who meets with and reports to the Senior Management Team (SMT) reporting back on fundraising developments and KPI’s . You will be responsible for maximising income from grant giving bodies (trusts, foundations, lotteries sources) and major donors. You will research, apply and steward all major trusts that have the capacity to give over £50,000 per year as well as prospecting and cultivating major donors. You will work closely with the Commercial Director and other key members of staff to ensure income is secured against target. As part of your team, you will manage the Trust Fundraiser, and depending on experience, manage the Events Manager.

You should have at least five years' experience of securing income from trusts and statutory bodies having previously secured six-figure gifts from grant and/or lottery sources. You will be excellent at building relationships with colleagues, partners and fund administrators. Knowledge and experience of major donor fundraising is essential with experience of developing networking events ideal.
