Fundraising Manager (Trusts / Grants) 

Hft is one of the largest and longest-established national charities supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, and family carers since 1962. 

Position: Trusts Fundraising Manager 
Contract: Maternity Cover, temporary for 12 months or until the substantive post holder returns 
Location: Whitefriars, Bristol, BS1 2NT or home based dependent upon geographical location 
Hours: Full Time 35 per week 
Salary: £33,786 per annum (Plus home working allowance if homebased)

About the Role: 

It’s a really exciting time to join the Hft fundraising team at a pivotal point of change and new strategy. The Trusts Fundraising Manager will be essential in being part of this driving income from trusts and foundations to help support people with learning disabilities. 

The Trusts Fundraising Manager role is an excellent opportunity to join a team of highly successful and experienced fundraisers to utilise and enhance your skills to make a key contribution to the people we support, ensuring they have every chance to live the best life possible. 

Responsibilities: 

- Researching new funding prospects 
- Collating project information for applications 
- Writing persuasive and inspiring applications 
- Compiling informative impact reports 
- Cultivating and stewarding supporters 
- Ensuring accurate records are maintained 

About You: 

The successful candidate must be an experienced grants and trusts fundraiser either educated to a degree level or with a solid track record of trust fundraising experience. 

Thorough knowledge of grant making trusts and of different methods to research them, including the use of grant giving research databases is required. 

You must possess a high level of written English with great communication skills as you will be prospecting, building and maintaining relationships with funders and funding bodies. 

The post holder will need to hold a full, current UK/EU driving licence and have use of a car. Flexibility to work at weekends and in the evenings to fit in with donor meetings etc. and have the ability to travel within the UK with occasional overnight stays are both essentials.
