Role Purpose:
This role will join a high performing team looking to raise £13.6m (in 2018) to support delivery of Alpha around the globe. The success of this role will have a direct correlation to our ability to continue to build relationships with donors, and therefore grow the reach of Alpha.

The Development Team are looking for an exceptional administrator to help run this busy and dynamic team and support the Global Development Director. The applicant will need to be a highly organised individual, with a nature aptitude for administration and serving others in order to anticipate the needs of this fast-paced and varied team. The successful candidate will be dedicated, rigorous and discreet, with a strong attention to detail.

The role will report to the Global Development Director of and work alongside other Fundraisers and Communications specialists in the Development team. The role holder will be expected to undertake other occasional tasks on an ad hoc basis to support the fund development team.

Key responsibilities:
For the GDD (50%)
• Managing the GDD’s diary and appointments
• Organising travel (including arranging visas, booking flights and accommodation, arranging meetings and logistics) 
• Processing expenses and invoices 
• Events and communications on behalf of GDD

For the wider team (50%)
• General office organisation, including electronic and physical filing 
• Liaison with colleagues from Operations and Maintenance 
• Administering Focalpoint for the team
• Ordering stationery 
• Organising team meetings (and occasional social events) including room bookings
• Supporting interaction with donors
Other duties may be required from time to time, in line with the nature of this role.

Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:
• Administrative experience in a busy professional office would be advantageous.
